A week-long 4x4 journey through Morocco’s highlands — from Atlantic Casablanca into the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, across rugged passes of the High Atlas, through hidden Berber villages and alpine lakes, down to serene Bin el Ouidane, and finally the vibrant energy of Marrakech. Designed for travellers who want mountain drama, natural contrasts, and cultural depth.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Casablanca
Arrival at Casablanca Airport on Royal Air Maroc from Moscow. Pick up your 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, short transfer to hotel. Guided city tour with highlights including the Hassan II Mosque, La Corniche and Mohammed V Square. Welcome lunch, dinner, and overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2 – Casablanca → Azrou (~300 km)
Scenic drive inland from the coast into the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas (altitude ~1300 m). Spot wild Barbary macaques. Dinner and overnight in a mountain guesthouse in Azrou.

Day 3 – Azrou → Midelt (~150 km)
Short but scenic ride through cedar and juniper forests, volcanic plateaus and alpine meadows. Arrival in Midelt, known for apples and fossils. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4 – Midelt → Imilchil (~200 km)
Climb into the High Atlas Mountains: canyons, alpine plateaus, high passes above 2000 m, remote Berber stone villages. Arrival in Imilchil, famous for its folklore and twin lakes. Rustic lodge dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Imilchil → Bin el Ouidane (~250 km)
Descent from the mountains (2000 m+) into forests, olive groves and valleys. Arrival at the turquoise Bin el Ouidane Lake. Lakeside hotel check-in, dinner with regional dishes.

Day 6 – Bin el Ouidane → Marrakech (~200 km)
Drive through fertile plains with citrus and olive farms. Arrival in Marrakech (alt. 450 m), check-in at central hotel, optional medina walk. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Marrakech → Casablanca (Departure)
Morning guided tour of Marrakech: Koutoubia Mosque, Ibn Youssef Madrasa, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Garden. Farewell lunch at Dar Cherifa riad. Afternoon transfer by private coach to Casablanca Airport.
